As educators, when choosing lessons and materials for your classrooms, there can be tension between teaching histories of violence and trauma and avoiding content that triggers trauma or retraumatizes students. During this session you will develop strategies to meet this challenge with care through an inquiry based, trauma-informed approach to using media when teaching about difficult topics.

By participating in this workshop each educator will receive a free resource to extend the workshop content into the classroom and personal practice.
