More than 1,500 Penn State World Campus students will graduate during the spring 2025 semester.
Penn State will celebrate the academic achievements of the latest Nittany Lion alumni during commencement ceremonies May 9–11. Each semester, Penn State World Campus students can request to attend an in-person commencement ceremony at a campus and graduate with their Penn State peers.
The big picture
The spring graduates of the Penn State World Campus Class of 2025 include 1,556 students who will earn degrees in 99 of the more than 200 programs offered online.
- 776 students will receive a bachelor’s degree.
- 694 students will receive a master’s degree.
- 22 students will receive a doctoral degree.
- 65 students will receive an associate degree.
Students hail from 49 states and 19 different countries. The spring Class of 2025 ranges in age from 16 to 74 and includes 254 people with a military affiliation.
Student marshals
Penn State World Campus students will also represent their Penn State academic colleges and programs during commencement ceremonies. Student marshals are selected for their outstanding academic achievements.
The Penn State College of the Liberal Arts named four World Campus students as marshals for the college’s commencement ceremony.
Jamie Bevel is the student marshal for the Bachelor of Science in Integrated Social Sciences. She will also earn a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society and Minor in Criminal Justice. She plans to attend graduate or law school and pursue a career in public health and policy.
The Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society student marshal is Tonya Braccidiferro, who will also earn a Minor in Political Science. Braccidiferro is a President Walker Award winner, scholarship recipient, and frequent member of the Dean’s List. After graduation, she plans to re-enter the workforce and pursue a career in the legal field or state government.
Caitlyn DeBlaay is the marshal for the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership program. She is also earning a Bachelor of Science in Labor and Human Resources and a Master of Human Resources and Employment Relations. DeBlaay is involved in student life through Penn State World Campus, including the Homecoming committee and Virtual Society for Human Resources Management student chapter. She plans to work in human resources.
The Bachelor of Science in Organizational and Professional Communication student marshal is Catherine Kwan. Kwan hopes to use her degree to further her career in project management and work in the financial technology industry.
Graduating with a Penn State degree earned online
Penn State World Campus has been offering a Penn State degree online for more than 25 years and has a comprehensive portfolio of more than 200 degree and certificate programs available.
Graduating Penn State World Campus students can be a part of signature Penn State experiences, such as commencement, just like their peers. The students can register to attend one of the commencement ceremonies across Penn State’s campuses during graduation weekend.
Penn State World Campus graduates and their families are invited each semester to attend a reception at the University Park campus to recognize their achievements and meet faculty, academic advisers, and other staff who helped them reach this day.
