Penn State World Campus will host its fifth annual leadership conference for students in a virtual format at the end of September.

Registration is open through September 23 for the 2022 Penn State World Campus Student Leadership Conference, which will be held September 28–30 online. Registration is $50 and is open to all World Campus students.

The conference has been designed to give students the opportunity to explore various facets of leadership development while connecting with faculty, staff, and their peers. Conference sessions will emphasize leadership development for students in their online learning experiences, their communities, and their workplaces.

Students can learn to:

  • enhance essential skills and competencies to create a culture of leadership in their communities and workplaces
  • understand the importance of embracing a diverse and inclusive community
  • leverage their experiences from current leadership roles to enhance their student experience at Penn State and boost future career and life aspirations

The conference schedule includes keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.

Students who require accessibility accommodations or would like to request a stipend to help offset financial hardships can contact Student Affairs at [email protected].

The opening keynote speaker is Jo Tyler, an educator, storyteller, and organizational consultant who has held progressive roles as an organization development practitioner for several manufacturing firms in the Fortune 500.

The closing keynote will be from Justin Aglio, executive director of the Readiness Institute at Penn State and interim vice president for Penn State Outreach.
