Scenes from the spring 2023 Penn State World Campus celebration for graduates

The Penn State World Campus celebration was held at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Grads wore their commencement regalia, including this new alumnus whose cap decoration translates to "Who said I can't? The world is mine."

Graduate speaker Nick Brown earned his Bachelor of Science in Business. He traveled with his fiancée from Texas while other family members flew in from California and Connecticut to support him at graduation.

Ryan Boykin graduated with a Master of Professional Studies in Criminal Justice Policy and Administration. He met Professor Ahmet Guler at the event hosted by Penn State World Campus.

Christy Grim is a two-time Penn State World Campus graduate. She received her bachelor's in IST in 2017, and this semester, she graduated with a Master of Project Management.

Maite Barrenechea graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health. She is originally from Argentina and now lives in Arizona. Her mom flew in from Argentina to see her graduate.

Kate Rineer was one of the featured graduate speakers. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and Technology and became the first in her family to earn a bachelor's degree.

Yuri Morales graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He works in the banking industry and hopes to be able to advance his position now that he has his degree.

Renata Engel, vice provost for Online Education, congratulated graduates during an address Saturday afternoon.

Kim Reiker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History. She has a visual impairment, and her bachelor's degree is one step toward teaching people with visual impairments.

Rabia Biyik earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She celebrated her achievements with her family members on Saturday.

Brianna DiMaio is a first-generation college graduate who received a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Journalism and Media. Nineteen friends and family members joined her on Saturday to celebrate her achievement.

Fernando Rincon and his wife traveled from Alabama for his commencement ceremony. Rincon serves in the U.S. Army and earned his Master of Supply Chain Management online through Penn State World Campus.

Darianna Korpman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Korpman said she originally applied to Penn State World Campus because of the courses but the faculty members truly made her experience special.

Maite Barrenchea (Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health) sticks a pin in a map to mark her home country of Argentina. The map provides a visualization of where the graduates hail from this semester.
