Douglas R. Lindsay, PhD, Lt Col USAF (ret)
Dr. Lindsay retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2014, after 22 years of dedicated service, to take on the directorship of this program. His positions in the Air Force included research psychologist, inspector general, deputy squadron commander, full professor, department head, and research center director. Dr. Lindsay has been stationed at various locations, including a deployment to Afghanistan where he was the deputy communications director in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His experience ranges from small units to large units, and he has held leadership positions at all levels. He received his PhD from Penn State in industrial/organizational psychology. His interests are in the areas of leadership, leadership development, leader/follower dynamics, and followership. Dr. Lindsay is an accomplished researcher and sought-after speaker with more than 80 publications and presentations on these topics.
Faculty for the online Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Psychology of Leadership come from a variety of domains, but all are world-class professionals in their fields. Your education will be further enriched by their considerable knowledge and experiences from a variety of leadership situations. Some of these areas include human resources, management, military, education (higher education and others), and organizational consulting. All of our faculty have formal graduate education (PhD) relevant to leadership in addition to their practical leadership experience.
