Penn State World Campus is partnering with Penn State Career Services to develop a series of online, self-guided career workshops available at no cost to students who have an active Penn State Access Account.
The first workshop of the series, Professional Résumé Preparation, is available now! Whether you're writing your first résumé, updating your current one, or you want to completely revamp your résumé to prepare for a career change, this workshop will:
- walk you through the steps to prepare and review the content of your résumé
- provide you with the opportunity to share your completed résumé with Penn State career counselors for feedback
In addition to the online Professional Résumé Writing workshop, Penn State Career Services and the World Campus have partnered to develop a self-guided Interviewing Skills workshop to assist our adult learners with enhancing and improving their interviewing skills.
The professional interview is the single most important part of the job search process — it is the hurdle you must clear in order to get a job offer. Whether you are going through your first screening interview or a final interview on-site, each interaction with the prospective employer is important and will be thoroughly scrutinized throughout the process. This workshop is designed to help you become a competent, confident, well-prepared interviewee, an interviewee able to convince an employer that you are the right person for the position.
