A Penn State Degree Is Within Reach

Penn State World Campus offers more than 175 undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs online, enabling you to learn from anywhere, anytime. We combine that convenience with dedicated support, including experts who can help you leverage your military education benefits. With the aim of making education more affordable, we:

  • honor veteran education benefits
  • award military-focused scholarships
  • offer a grant-in-aid program that reduces undergraduate tuition for service members and their spouses

Our expert military support team can answer any questions you have about benefits at Penn State.

GI Bill® — Our Certifying Officials Can Help

Have you served on active duty? If so, you may be eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill, which can cover up to 100% of tuition, plus provide a monthly housing allowance and stipend for books and fees. Our GI Bill certifying officials can help you to determine if you qualify and guide you on accessing your benefits.

Military Tuition Assistance — Savings for Service Members and Spouses

Are you or your spouse currently serving on active duty or in the reserve or National Guard? You may be eligible for tuition assistance from the Department of Defense (DoD). Military service members can receive up to $250 per credit hour toward tuition. Spouses can also receive up to $4,000 toward associate degree and certificate programs through the DoD Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship. Plus, if you or your spouse is pursuing an undergraduate degree, you can combine DoD tuition assistance with our exclusive Penn State World Campus Military Grant-in-Aid.

Military Grant-in-Aid — Reduced Undergraduate Tuition

Our Military Grant-in-Aid reduces undergraduate tuition to $353 per credit for members of the U.S. Armed Forces (active duty, National Guard, reserve) and their spouses, bringing our tuition rate closer to the Department of Defense tuition assistance cap. The program is applicable to all undergraduate programs and undergraduate courses offered by Penn State World Campus. Grant-in-Aid can be combined with military tuition assistance for even greater savings.

Scholarships Especially for You

Penn State World Campus is proud to offer scholarship opportunities to first-time and returning undergraduate degree students. Several scholarships are specifically designed to provide financial support to military and veteran students.
