Library Services Available to Penn State World Campus Students – Tuesday, January 21, 2020 8:30 – 9:30 pm ET

This webinar is intended for Penn State World Campus students interested in learning about how they can use the library resources and services available to them. There are a variety of ways in which students can use the Pattee and Paterno Libraries from a distance. Use of the library has been shown to improve academic performance. The library can be a valuable resource in finding research materials and sources that are critical for completing papers and other projects or assignments. In this webinar, library staff will provide an overview of the resources available to students, and provide tips on the best ways to access and use these resources. They will also explain how to contact library staff members for assistance, and show you how to navigate the library website.

Master of Education in Higher Education Webinar – Wednesday, January 22, 2020 12:00 – 1:00 pm ET  

This webinar is intended for prospective Penn State World Campus students interested in the Master of Education in Higher Education. Karen Paulson, Ph.D, associate professor and coordinator of online programs for the higher education program, and Allie Goldstein, assistant professor, will share important information about the program, and will answer questions about program curriculum. They will review application requirements and explain the admissions process, while also sharing insight as to what you can expect as an online student. They will also discuss how this degree can be valuable for those considering a career change, or for those seeking to enter or advance in the academic world.

This webinar is for prospective Penn State World Campus students interested in learning more about the Penn State Online MBA program led by Smeal College of Business faculty. Program staff and faculty will explain how completion of this MBA can offer valuable career benefits. This webinar can also help you decide if this program might be a good fit for you. Master of Health Administration Webinar – Tuesday, January 28, 2020 12:00 – 1:00 pm ET

This webinar is intended for prospective Penn State World Campus students interested in the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program. An MHA degree can prepare students for careers in administrative, management, or executive positions at a variety of health-related organizations including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, insurance companies and home healthcare agencies. This webinar will explain the cohort model for this program and review important requirements for people interested in applying for the Fall-only cohort.

Dr. Alexander Siedschlag, professor of homeland security and chair of homeland security programs, will share important information about the program and answer questions about the curriculum. This webinar is intended for prospective Penn State World Campus undergraduate students interested in learning about the World Campus experience and career services offered to students. One of our dedicated career counselors will review the numerous career-related services and resources available to Penn State World Campus students. Admissions staff will also explain the application process, including specific details about how to apply, admissions requirements, and transfer credits.

This webinar will help you understand what you can expect when transferring to Penn State World Campus. Our staff will provide transfer students with information needed to ensure that Penn State World Campus is a good fit for them, and share instructions about how to move forward with the admissions process. One of our World Campus Transfer Credit Specialists will also review the steps involved in transferring previously earned credits.
