Program Summary
The 18-credit Supply Chain and Information Systems minor provides you with instruction in core supply chain processes and analysis techniques, as well as vital enterprise system technologies.
As a student in the minor, you will be exposed to the methodology that organizations use to acquire, produce, and deliver goods and services throughout the world. You can apply your expanded knowledge in both manufacturing and service sectors of the economy.
Courses in the minor are offered by the Penn State Smeal College of Business — ranked No. 1 in supply chain undergraduate education by Gartner, Inc. — and by the Penn State Erie Black School of Business, widely regarded for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) curriculum emphasizing SAP® (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing), the leading global provider of ERP software.
This minor is not open to supply chain and information systems majors from the Smeal College of Business, or project and supply chain management majors from Penn State Behrend or Penn State Harrisburg. Course substitutions for earning the minor are not permitted. Speak to your academic adviser to ensure you meet the following conditions:
- You must be a current Penn State undergraduate student in a bachelor's degree major with fifth semester standing (60 credits completed).
- All prerequisite coursework for this minor must be completed with a quality grade of "C" or better prior to admission to the minor.
- A grade of "C" or better in all courses is required to earn this minor.
