Student Affairs Fundraising Publication Includes Penn State World Campus Faculty

Public resources for higher education are continuing to decline, making philanthropic support for colleges and universities even more critical. In the new book Student Affairs Fundraising: Raising Funds to Raise the Bar, Penn State World Campus program faculty and higher education fundraising guru Sophie Penney and her colleagues combine their best strategies and advice for garnering donations that impact college student success.

Published by NASPA–Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, Student Affairs Fundraising provides readers with history, background, detailed context, and relevant examples of the people, schools, tools, and methods for successful sector-specific fundraising within divisions of student affairs. Each chapter highlights fundraising strategies and resources, as well as hands-on exercises to help readers hone their fundraising skills. Learn more about the publication.

Penn State’s World Campus Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Fundraising Leadership Announces Partnership with Aspen Leadership Group.

That partnership will afford students in the 100% online certificate program with the opportunity to learn from and connect with Aspen consultants and expand the search options available to them.

Through executive search and consulting services and with a focus on careers rather than on isolated jobs, Aspen Leadership Group (ALG) builds enduring and productive relationships with individuals pursuing careers in philanthropy and with leaders of organizations engaged in philanthropy. The certificate program has chosen to partner with Aspen because of their dedication to supporting professionals as they progress through the profession, not merely as they seek to move into a new position.

Each of Aspen’s consultants have more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and have built relationships across the nonprofit sector and around the globe over decades.  Aspen Leadership Group serves higher education and K-12 institutions, arts and culture organizations, health care institutions and hospitals, foundations, and social service and community-based organizations.
