Penn State graduates its first students in data analytics

Twenty students have spent the past year and a half learning how to design and implement systems necessary to mine and analyze large sets of data. Learn more about the first students to graduate from the data analytics program. 

Penn State World Campus student takes first place in international data visualization competition

Heather Myers, a Penn State World Campus Master of Professional Studies in Data Analytics student, recently took first place in Tableau’s Student Viz Assignment Contest. Myer’s decided to depict the agricultural history of Pennsylvania — a decade-long initiative of PHMC, as a way to integrate her studies with her job as web administrator for the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). The World Campus student came in first place out of 250 submissions from across the world.  Read more about Heather and her award winning data visualization.
