Penn State Helps Military and Veteran Students Earn Degrees | Gant Daily (February 4, 2010)

Senior Airman Kimberly DeLong of Oklahoma City, Okla., is making the Air Force her career, but she also wants a college degree to enhance her knowledge and skills. Enter Penn State, which offers a grant-in-aid and other financial aid to military students. For DeLong, the Penn State grant, coupled with Air Force tuition assistance and the Post-9/11 GI Bill, is enabling her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business online through Penn State’s World Campus.

Enrollment soars at PSU's World Campus | CDT (November 15, 2009)

Today almost 10,000 students from around the country and world are taking classes from what Penn State calls its World Campus. The number of course enrollments increased 37 percent over last year. That reflects a national trend of rising enrollment in online programs even as growth in old-fashioned classroom enrollment is sluggish.

Military Award Presented to PSU | Penn State Collegian (November 11, 2009)

Penn State accepted the 2009 Ray Ehrensberger Award for Institutional Excellence in Military Education last week for its efforts in providing members of the military with higher education.

World Campus is a popular option for service personnel, with 10 percent of the program's total enrollment from the military.
