Course Description

Cultivates a working knowledge of how and why geospatial professionals develop web mapping applications that combine data from multiple sources.

Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.

Remarks

GIS Mashups for Geospatial Professionals is an elective for students in the World Campus Master of GIS program. It is also an elective in the Certificate Program in Geographic Information Systems. This course demonstrates how GIS mashups can be created using the Google Maps API and the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. To fulfill course and educational objectives, students will participate in 6 lessons (in 10 weeks) and project assignments, supported by discussions with instructors and peers.
