Remarks

Math 17 requires the submission of hand drawn symbols and images. If the student does not have ready access to a scanner, the Bamboo Pen Tablet is a useful tool that will record images and save them as electronic files in a common format. Students may use Bamboo Pen Tablet to write up homework and activities, participate in classroom interaction on the Blackboard Collaborate whiteboard, and/or join private whiteboard cooperative group discussions on Blackboard Collaborate.

Penn State has partnered with Kryterion to provide students with convenient online, secure tests for this course. Students must purchase the Kryterion Webcam to participate in Kryterion online proctored exams. This camera (attached to the student's computer) will be used by proctors at a distance to ensure exam integrity. No other camera, including laptop built-in cameras or cameras with built-in recording features will be accepted. You can purchase the camera here: http://shopping.netsuite.com/kryterion. Windows Users must have Windows 2000 Professional (with Service Pack 3 or higher), Windows XP (with Service Pack 2 or higher), Windows Vista, OR Windows 7. Mac users must have OS X 10.6 or higher version to take the exam. For students who plan to graduate this semester, please communicate your intent to graduate with your instructor. This will alert your instructor to submit your final grade in time to meet the published graduation deadlines.
