Course Description

Analysis and construction of project plans for the development of complex engineering products taken from a variety of problem domains.

Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.

Remarks

The practice and theory of technical project management including leading effective teams, overcoming project dysfunction, project planning, and control. Course delivery will be managed through ANGEL. In addition to the textbook that students purchase, online instruction will be facilitated by supplemental Web-based summaries, discussion forums, and digitally submitted course assignments.


This course is part of a cohort program and is only available to students accepted into the Master of Engineering Management program - cohort 3.

Software Requirements

Requires: In addition to the basic World Campus technical requirements for hardware, usage of the Firefox 3.5.3 Web browser is required. In Firefox, students must install the most current version of the Adobe Flash Player browser plug-in (version 10.0 or higher) and have the ability to install other Web browser plug-ins when necessary (i.e. Adobe Connect browser plug-in). Internet Explorer (any version) support is NOT provided in this course, and therefore, should not be used by students. It is also highly recommended that students have software that allows for the creation of PDF files.
