Course Description
Analyzes the history of terrorism and explores the preparation and response tospecific terrorist threats, natural disasters, and conventional catastrophes.
Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.
Prerequisites
Undergraduate Students BIOL 011 and BIOL 012 or CHEM 110 and CHEM 111 or MICRB106 and MICRB107; Graduate Students - Enrollment in the MHS program, the Post- Baccalaureate Credit Certificate in Homeland Security, or permission from the instructor.

Remarks
Students admitted to the MHS in PHP certificate or degree programs are expected to complete the "core curriculum" (e.g., HLS/PHP 410 and 510) during the first two semesters in the program. This course includes weekly individual and team-based activities. For students who plan to graduate this semester, please communicate your intent to graduate to your instructor. This will alert your instructor to the need to submit your final grade in time to meet the published graduation deadlines.
