Course Description
General principles of statistical consulting and statistical consulting experience. Preparation of reports, presentations, and communication aspects of consulting are discussed.
Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.

Remarks
Students are strongly recommended to have access to a PC in order to use the required software. The objective of this course is to provide statistics students with practical consulting and communication skills, such as how to present results verbally and in a written report, and how to work cooperatively with other researchers.Schedule This Course

Software Requirements
Requires: Students will need to have SAS 9.1.3, 9.2 or 9.3 to complete the requirements of this course. SAS 9.1.3 will NOT run on Windows 95, 98, or ME. Students will need to upgrade to the PROFESSIONAL version. Students may purchase the current version of SAS through the Penn State Computer Store at http://computerstore.psu.edu for approximately $30. Students will need to have their nine-digit PSU ID to purchase SAS.
