Remarks
Engineering for Energy and the Environment is a critical analysis of the relationship between the world of engineering design and production and the global environment. This course deals with the broad realm of engineering with a particular focus on energy generation, production, and distribution. As engineers design and make practical applications for the benefit of society, their interaction with the three cornerstones of sustainability - society, environment, and economy - lends itself to an interdisciplinary analysis. Students will learn how society's needs influence design and how design affects society. Students will learn how design requires environmental resources and how design requires proper management of those resources. Students will learn how economics can constrain design and how design done right can influence an economy
This course is part of a cohort program and is only available to students accepted into the Master of Engineering Management program - cohort 4.
