Course Description
Descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, power, estimation, confidence intervals, regression, one- and 2-way ANOVA, Chi-square tests, diagnostics.
Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.

Remarks
Students are strongly recommended to have access to a PC in order to use the required software. It consists of 12 online submitted lessons, 2 online submitted projects, 3 exams, 2 online and a proctored final exam. For students who plan to graduate this semester, please communicate your intent to graduate to your instructor. Software Requirements
Requires: Students will need to have Minitab 15 or 16. Students planning to take higher level STAT courses may choose to purchase Minitab 16 (Student License) through the Penn State Computer Store at http://computerstore.psu.edu for approximately $30. (This license expires in June.) Students will need to have their nine-digit PSU ID to purchase the software. Minitab 16 may also be purchased directly from Minitab at http://www.minitab.com for approx. $100.00 for a perpetual license. Students will need to have Microsoft Word 2003 or higher. If you do not have Microsoft Word you can purchase the latest version through Journey Ed (www.journeyed.com) or a vendor of your choice.
