Course Description
Focuses on literacy and language interactions between parents and their young children (including English language learners), implementing intentional/planned learning.
Strong writing skills are recommended for this course. If English is not your native language, it is important that you read additional information regarding English language proficiency before registering for this course.

Associate Degree or 60 undergraduate credits

Remarks
This course is part of the Certificate in Family Literacy which can be obtained entirely online and is awarded upon successful completion of five courses, for a total of 12 credits. Course credits may apply toward a Penn State master's degree in adult education. Penn State is a fully accredited university, and credits are likely to apply toward a bachelor's or master's degree program at other institutions. For students who plan to graduate this semester, please communicate your intent to graduate to your instructor.
