Course Description

Fundamental principles of synoptic and physical meteorology, satellite and radar imagery, and data analysis in the setting of mid-latitude weather forecasting.

Remarks

The course consists of four components: lessons, laboratory assignments, projects, and quizzes. 12 quizzes are online. METEO 101 is a highly interactive course. Students should expect to spend 3 hours or more online each week in order to complete course-related activities. There will be no set class meeting times, but students will be required to complete weekly assignments. A grade of C or better is required for completion of the Weather Forecasting Certificate.
