Course Description

An introduction to fundamental biological topics (including cells, energy transduction, genetics, evolution, organismal structure/function, ecology) for non-majors biology-related fields.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for the course.

Remarks

This course has 11 units, which include 3 exams and 1 final exam. The final exam will be online Angel proctored exam. In addition, students have to submit several postings to the course discussion forum throughout the semester. A CD comes with the textbook but students are not required to use it for the course. For students who plan to graduate this semester, please communicate your intent to graduate to your instructor. This will alert your instructor to the need to submit your final grade in time to meet the published graduation deadlines.
