Pi Delta Chi is the University Park chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, a national honor society that partners with colleges and universities to celebrate the scholarship and leadership of full- and part-time undergraduate adult students in higher education.
Our University Park chapter is comprised of World Campus students, University Park resident instruction students, and continuing education students at University Park (CE@UP), including those taking courses through our Lewistown, Moshannon Valley, and Williamsport centers.
Among the benefits of membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda are special scholarship opportunities.
To be eligible for membership in the Pi Delta Chi chapter:
- you must have completed 24 credits in an undergraduate degree program from World Campus, CE@UP, or through resident instruction at the University Park campus
- at least 12 of the total credits should be earned in courses from the College of the Liberal Arts or deemed by the University as liberal arts courses via the transfer process
- you must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.2
- you must be in the highest 10 percent of students who meet the above criteria
World Campus, CE@UP students, and resident instruction students from the University Park campus who meet the above criteria are eligible for membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda and will be contacted directly by the Pi Delta Chi selection committee.
