Scholarship Information

Alpha Sigma Lambda awards four $1,200 scholarships and three $1,500 scholarships each year. Applications for scholarships are mailed out to all chapter councilors in January, with awards announced in June of each year.

Two applicants will be selected as candidates for the Alpha Sigma Lambda Adult Student Foundation Scholarship. Their names will be forwarded to the national Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter for further consideration. Winners will be chosen and announced in June.

Who May Apply

To be eligible, students must

  • be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program through World Campus, CE@UP, or resident instruction at University Park 
  • be currently taking World Campus, CE@UP, or resident instruction classes toward your program of study
  • have at least one full calendar year of course work remaining in your program of study
  • have completed at least 30 semester hours through World Campus, CE@UP, or resident instruction (not counting transfer credits)
  • have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • be 24 years of age or older by April 30, 2010

NOTE: You do not have to be a member of Pi Delta Chi or the Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter to apply for a scholarship.

To Apply

Students who meet the scholarship eligibility requirements should read the application instructions, complete the application, and mail it to the address noted in the documents by March 19, 2010. Recipients will be notified in June after review by the selection committee.
