Scholarship Information
Alpha Sigma Lambda awards 5 general chapter scholarships of $1,200 each year. Since 1983, over $112,000 in scholarships has been awarded nationally to over 140 recipients. Applications for scholarships are mailed out to all chapter councilors in January, with awards announced in June of each year.
Recently, two Penn State World Campus students were selected as candidates for the Alpha Sigma Lambda Adult Student Foundation Scholarship. Their names were forwarded to the national Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter for further consideration. Winners will be chosen and announced in June.
Who may apply
To be eligible, students must
- be enrolled in a World Campus bachelor's degree program.
- currently be taking World Campus classes toward your program of study.
- have at least one full calendar year of course work remaining in your program of study.
- have completed at least 30 semester hours through World Campus (not counting transfer credits).
- have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- be 24 years of age or older.
NOTE: You do not have to be a member of Pi Delta Chi, the World Campus Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter, to apply.
