Students will be introduced to the development of integrated weed management strategies utilizing a variety of cultural and chemical methods.

Turfgrass Disease Management
Introduction to biology of turfgrass pathogens and management of cool- and warm-season turfgrass.

Case study and discussion considering integrated management of selected turfgrass sites; emphasis on problem analysis, principle application, and decision-making. This course is required for successful completion of the turfgrass management certificate.

NOTE: Students who select TURF 238 to fulfill course requirements must also take TURF 230, a 1-credit pesticide management course. TURF 230 may be taken concurrently or as a prerequisite.
NOTE: Students who have a valid (and verifiable) state pesticide license can request to be automatically exempted from taking TURF 230.
Note: Students must earn at least a "C" grade in each course taken to be eligible for the certificate.
