For most working adults, learning at a distance is a new academic learning environment. We recommend that first-time distance education students generally take no more than 6 credits at one time. This helps most of our students have a successful learning experience. You should consult with your academic adviser if you would like to take more than 6 credits in any given semester.
If you're planning on taking more than 6 credits, consider your work, family, or other time-demanding responsibilities as well as if you're new to Distance Education.
Plan on an average of 6 to 8 hours of course work per week per 3-credit course.
