An academic verification provides proof of enrollment, student status, and graduation; it does not provide specific course or grade information. Penn State federal and state school codes will be included on all academic verification documents. Academic verifications will NOT be distributed by fax or e-mail.
- The Office of the University Registrar will not complete agency-supplied verification forms. Rather, the official University academic verification statement will be attached to the original agency-supplied form.
- Information in a verification statement is limited to directory information items that may be released without prior student permission.
- Academic verifications are not available for students who have requested that their directory information not be released.
- The following information will be provided if you request an academic verification:
- Name
- Enrollment status
- Date(s) of attendance—past, current, future
- Major(s)
- Degree(s) conferred
- Current enrolled degree(s)
- Expected date of graduation
- Date of birth (month and day)
- Home and local address
- Good standing statement
