The certificate program in school food service management is designed for the motivated, self-disciplined student who has school food service training or experience. Successful distance education students who study 6 to 10 hours a week to complete 4 to 5 courses a year can complete the certificate program in less than 2 years.
How Does the Program Work?
The courses are organized around instructional study guides with textbook readings, along with Web-based enhancements, such as online quizzes, bulletin board communication tools, lesson submission forms, and other resources. Most 3-credit courses include an average of 15 lessons: 13 content lessons and 2 proctored exams. A computer is required for admission to the program.
