"As a single mother and I knew the only way I could work, go to college, and raise my son alone, would be to take online classes that I could finish at my own pace. Penn State Online classes allowed me to do my work and still have time for my son, which was perfect for me." —Rachel Amador, undergraduate student

This program's 33-credit curriculum of study allows you to study around your own schedule, where and when it's most convenient for you.

A Focused Degree

Unlike most MBA and executive management development programs, in which the primary focus is on business and financial issues, this graduate degree program focuses on managing changing technologies.

Choose Your Area of Concentration

This program allows you to specialize in one of four thematic areas, according to your professional requirements: reservoir engineering, gas transmission processing, porous media flow dynamics, or production engineering.

Learn from Faculty Experienced in the Field

Penn State's oil and gas engineering management faculty are all seasoned veterans of the business sector. Decades of real-world experience went into this program's design.

Network with Industry Peers

As a student in this program, you will have ample opportunity to share your own experiences with faculty and fellow students--online and in person. A 2-month residency requirement will provide you with in-depth academic advising sessions and additional strategic insights for solving real-life challenges.

This program is offered by Penn State's College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and the Department of Energy and Geo-Environmental Engineering. We are pleased to offer this program in partnership with IHRDC Online, an industry leader for today's energy and petroleum professionals.
