Getting Started

Apply online and select "Master of Education in Instructional Systems—Educational Technology" as your program of interest.

To begin taking courses right away, complete the application form and select "Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Educational Technology Integration" as your program of interest. You may take courses toward this degree while you complete the degree application process. Only 15 credits completed under nondegree status can be transferred into this degree program.

Applicants should be aware that it is necessary to have access to a classroom environment for implementation of their research project.

Completing Your Application

For your application to be considered complete, submit the following:

  • Statement of purpose
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Writing samples
  • Two official transcripts from each institution attended
  • Official GRE or MAT test scores
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score, if applicable

Prerequisites

For admission to Penn State's Graduate School, an applicant must have received, from an accredited institution, a baccalaureate degree with requirements substantially equivalent to those at Penn State. (Penn State is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.)

Students are required to have access to a classroom environment for implementation of their research project.
