Curriculum
Penn State Abington and Penn State World Campus have partnered to develop the 12-credit undergraduate certificate in corporate communication. This program offers interdisciplinary content and an applied emphasis to prepare the participants for entry into this vibrant professional field.
The certificate program consists of one mandatory 400-level course and three additional courses selected from the list of electives provided on the Course List page.
Students who elect to enroll in Internship in Corporate Communication (CC 495) are strongly encouraged to complete 9 credits of course work from the corporate communication curriculum prior to enrolling. All students receive support in identifying internship opportunities and may complete the 200-hour internship in person or at a distance; they may support an organization on a day-to-day basis or more independently complete a project of direct benefit to an organization. The academic aspect of the internship further promotes professional development by presenting engaging ideas and structuring the students’ self-reflections.
