Penn State's 15-credit online graduate certificate in bioterrorism preparedness consists of 5 courses that will enhance your understanding in areas such as:
- the threat of bioterrorism to animal, agriculture, and food safety
- exposure assessment for disaster and terrorism
- the role of federal, state, and local government in biosecurity
- the history of biological warfare
The graduate certificate in bioterrorism preparedness is designed as a "stand-alone" certificate or can serve as a "step-up" program into the master of homeland security in public health preparedness.
Students who have successfully completed our certificates in disaster preparedness or bioterrorism preparedness are eligible to transfer 15 credits into the master of homeland security degree once they are admitted to graduate degree status.
