"I've completed eight General Ed courses through Penn State Online that will be accepted at virtually any college I may transfer to. The distance education experience has made me a way more advanced learner and has honed my comprehension capabilities. Additionally, the World Campus proved itself to be just that while I was tasked to work in Australia for more than a month last year." —Joseph Gambles, bachelor of science in organizational leadership

FAQs

Q: There are so many courses to choose from in this program. How do I know which ones to choose?

A: Because the bachelor of science degree in organizational leadership is highly customizable, we recommend that as a first step you contact a Student Services adviser to help you plan a program of study that best meets your educational and professional goals.

Q: What's the difference between the organizational leadership degree and a more traditional business degree?

A: Rather than simply providing an overview of business practices, the organizational leadership degree is specifically designed to help working adults develop supervisory leadership skills that can be immediately applied in the 21st century workplace.

Q: Is this the real Penn State?

A: Simply put, yes. When you successfully complete the bachelor of science in organizational leadership degree, you will receive a diploma stating that you have earned a bachelor's degree, not an online bachelor's degree. Neither the diploma nor the transcript will differentiate the mode (online or otherwise) in which the courses or degree was completed.

Q: Will I be able to transfer into the program the credits I've already earned? How many credits will transfer?

A: You want to make the most of the credits you've already earned, and we want to help you do that. Penn State regularly accepts credits from other accredited universities. The Undergraduate Admissions Office will review your transcripts, and a Student Services adviser will work with you to determine how your credits can best be applied to meet your goals.

Q: Is financial aid available to World Campus students?

A: Yes. Detailed information about financial aid, scholarships, and other forms of aid can be found on our paying for your education page.
