"Penn State Online has eliminated lengthy classroom time that I would not be able to accommodate with having a full-time job. It also allowed me to pursue my goal of graduating from Penn State after moving to Florida." —Vanessa Myers, undergraduate student

Admissions

Getting Started

Thank you for your interest in applying to one of our program offerings in applied behavior analysis. Please remember that admission counselors are available to discuss with you your educational goals, financial aid options, and application deadlines. Applicants should check program prerequisites before using the online application tools, which provide basic student information and academic history.

Each program starts once each year—in August—and runs through consecutive semesters over one academic year.

When completing your application, choose the fall semester. If you are rejoining the program after an absence and need to re-apply, please contact student services for assistance.

Prerequisites

A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is required for participation in either certificate program. However, those students who have already earned a master's degree are encouraged to pursue the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certificate Program.

Each course is a prerequisite for the following course. The courses must be taken in the order they are listed. All 4 courses must be taken from Penn State in order to earn this certificate.

If you are ready to begin the admissions process, fill out the World Campus application form. Students with completed applications will be notified when course registration is available.

Technical Requirements

Our courses are designed to use technology in a way that enriches the learning experience and helps students communicate and collaborate with faculty and classmates in a productive and convenient way. Technology is an important cornerstone of this program; therefore, we provide "live" support from HelpDesk support staff through real-time chat. Please view the technical requirements for this program.

Registration

Students will register for their courses online and are encouraged to register prior to the first day of classes. Students are also encouraged to speak to an adviser or check the course schedule for details about the specific classes for which they are registering.
